Victim in FBI shooting at Super 8 Motel in Hernando was a Russian agent
HERNANDO, MS. (TVMO) - The victim in todays shooting at the Super 8 Motel in Hernando involving the FBI, was a Russian agent.
It is not clear if the the victim was a U.S. national or an undercover FSB agent with an assumed identity. But it has been several law enforcement sources have confirmed that the victim was being tracked by the FBI from at least Arkansas.
Then, after the victim pulled off the highway and parked at the Super 8 Motel, the suspected Russian agent then entered the motel for a brief period before returning to his vehicle.
Members of an FBI SWAT team then approached the suspected Russian agent, to arrest them. However, a shoot out ensued and the suspected agent was killed in the parking lot by FBI SWAT.
Sources in several U.S. intelligence agencies have confirmed that the victim was connected to a possible espionage operation being undertaken by Russian agents in the United States.
