Dashcam footage of MVA in Marshall County Mississippi, goes viral.
MARSHALL COUNTY, MS. (TVMO) - A 30 second video clip from dashcam footage of a motor vehicle accident in Marshall County Mississippi, has gone viral.
The footage was published by our news outlet’s Facebook page on Thursday evening after a viewer obtained a copy of the footage from the persons dashcam. But what was meant to be a post to show people in the local area the impotence at stopping at the stop sing on Highway 302 and North Red Banks Road, has since gone viral, racking up 2.1 million views by the time this article was published.
But it is not just the crash, that have got people talking.
Within a second or two of the crash occurring, a car in front of the semi that captured the footage can bee seen driving off. One of the comments on the vide posts reads, “tell me you don’t have a DL and insurance, without telling me you don’t have them”. See the video below.
But the main focus of the comments seem to be on how dangerous that intersection is within Marshall County. Several local residents have also commented on the post, stating they are going to start a petition to get the 4 way stop signs turned into 4 way traffic lights, as this area is a known to have a large number of MVA’s.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the crash, but the video does emphasize the importance of why vehicles should stop, look, and wait at all single, two-way, and four-way stop signs.
